Do We Want To Make Peace?

Oh, of course we do.

But sometimes, after reading all the news coming out of our neighbors, from Ramallah to Riyadh, from Damascus to Daraa and from the Temple Mount to Tunisia, the killing of their own, the gassing, the shooting, the incitement, the hate and all, I ask myself - and now I ask you:

would you really want to make peace with such people?

Or let me rephrase that: do you really believe we can make peace with such thinking and conceptualizations about human relations?

Is it even worth while, in the long run?

Can we trust such people who act as they do now, especially towards their own, to keep the peace?  With us?

Of course not -

I don't want to see Jews become like the Arabs! Its bad enough Jews trampled over the elementary principle of justice to sit down with the killers of Jewish children.

But I would find it intolerable for the Jews to absorb by osmosis, the most savage and barbarous habits of the Arab race! I cannot think of any peace agreement worth forfeiting the last shreds of Jewish humanity!

We should demand more of the Jews if only to avoid such a dastardly and unthinkable fate.
