...Personal Reflections on anti-Semitism in the Balkans
As it happened, while I was traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina in July, Adela Levis, my assistant, was traveling there for a three-week summer holiday. Adela was born in Zagreb, Croatia, but her family left with the start of the war in 1991. When she visited family and friends this summer, she was shocked and surprised to see anti-Semitism just under the surface. For this reason, I’d now like to draw your attention to her experiences below:
She never expected to find anti-semitism?
Yikes.
