How do they define Gaza?
Read on:
"As artists we are restricted by living in a conservative and tough community," says Arab. "Let's be realistic. Our life is under siege, under control. People don't have time for art. They spend all their time looking for crumbs. They say, 'What use is art? Art will not give you bread.' "
Does anyone at The Guardian, the reporter, Harriet Sherwood, her editor, the foreign desk head - anyone ask himself this question:-
if Gaza was not under any 'occupation', would they still be
free and liberated, as artists, under the Hamas regime?
free and liberated, as artists, under the Hamas regime?
Would they?
And would The Guardian still report on them at that time?
