Tell Me Who Your Friends Are

The old saying, "tell me who your friends are", is quite applicable to the new J Street effort directed at campuses.

Here is the list of what they call their "allies and friends", or their:

Partner Organizations

The following is list of organizations that are doing like-minded work on the issue of Middle East peace and security. The list is by no means comprehensive and if you’d like to recommend that we get involved with another organization that is not listed here, please email us at info@jstreetu.org.

A more radical, left-wing, progressive, pathetic list of deaftist Zionist/Israel groups I couldn't imagine, or wish to.

You could have written...
A more radical, left-wing, progressive list of Zionist/Israel groups whose policies would lead to the defeat of Zionism/Israel I couldn't imagine, or wish to.

... but that would lose the nastisness, vitriol, and sinas chinam which your posts are invariably filled with. And two weeks prior to Rosh Hashanah why would you want to stop writing with sinas chinam, davka now.

"It would seem these people practice Sinat Achim gratuiously."

You're right. Many of them do that. So you go ahead and do the same. Now we've got both sides practicing Sinat Achim (B'Chinam).

May the Third Temple be build speedily in our day (... uh, em, gee... only to be destroyed again by sinat chinam????).

Goodness gracious... it's such a simple concept. You think their policies are wrong. OK, say so, explain why, amplify, write (you do so a heck of a lot better than I could).

But when you toss out phrases like "pathetic list of defeatist" you end up just preaching to the choir - what's the point? You feel better ranting and raving? Why?

a) i am not ranting any more they they and a lot less.

b) why? because i don't hit and kick my opponents. and I can't put them on trial for subversion.

c) try working with them: Mondoweis, Avishai, MJ Rosenberg, Lowesnstein. Let me know how you do.
