Now read this:-
Asked what he thought about the gunman, Mr Stokes said: “I’m certainly not angry about the nutcase who shot him. It’s just one of life’s variables. We have got enough things to deal with without bothering with the person who shot him. That’s totally destructive, negative and pointless.”
Told the gunman screamed “God is great” as he opened fire, Mr Stokes said: “There’s good and bad in every religion." He added: “I am going through a religious evaluation at the moment.” His wife, who preaches at the Smithy Bridge Methodist church near their home, said she will leave it to other members of her congregation to pray for the gunman.
Jordanian investigators said today they were convinced that the assassin, Nabil Ahmed Issa Jaourah, 38, was acting alone and had no links to any terror group. He is from the same Jordanian town as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the former head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, who was killed in an US air strike in the summer. Neighbours of the father of five described him as “a loner” who regularly visited two local mosques.
As the Brits would say, 'a bit daf that'.
At least the mother exhibits a sense of reality.
