The Creating Pain

In viewing this, I was reminded of Dr. Israel Eldad's comment on the verse in Genesis:

And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. And the LORD said: 'I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast,

Eldad noted that the Hebrew root it grieved Him, which is עצב, us also the root of to fashion, to create a piece of art, for example, and he stated that the two are intrinsically connected because only out of pain can you create something - poetry, a painting and even music.
