Incident of Ethnic Violence on Jerusalem's Light Rail

This item appeared in the Maariv Jerusalem supplement last week, p. 36:

and informs us all that last month the Jerusalem Light Rail was delayed for some 10 minutes the previous Saturday night.

The reason?

Ethnic contretemps.

Seems that on the way to Pisgat Zeev, two Arab youth boarded the car in which several Jewish girls were seated.  The boys whistled and made some comments.  They continued and their remarks became more overtly sexual and demeaning.  One girl answered back and that started a verbal confrontation.

The security guard than requested the boys leave which they refused.  Other passengers yelled at the guard.  The driver agreed with the guard and there was a standoff for some 10 minutes.  The Arab youngster promised to behave and the train started up.

However, at a Beit Hanina stop, the two got up, one spit at the girl and they both fled.
