Reported:
A woman was groped in Chula Vista on Wednesday morning, the 16th such incident reported on or near the Broadway corridor in the city since September, and police have scheduled a community meeting next week to discuss the assaults.
The woman was walking on Broadway near West J Street about 10:38 a.m. when a man walked up to her and grabbed her breasts, police said.
The woman called her husband after being groped, leading to a 10-minute delay before she notified police.
Chula Vista police spokesman Bernard Gonzales said the suspect was seen running across Broadway into a nearby apartment complex. Police set up a perimeter and also used a dog to try to find him, but were unsuccessful.
Please, be careful at J Street.
