Israel Government Concern

Israel is in the midst of an election campaign.

A military campaign has just finished but missiles continue to fly.

Israel has no Knesset authorized budget.

There are many other problems such as former Health Minister Hirschson falling ill just before his testimony in his embezzelment trial.

So, what does Israel's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development do?

It announces the establishment of a committee to review the issue of the profit margin welfare and physical well-being of egg-laying chickens.

No, really:

I guess this qualifies for humor, no?

Er, you got that one wrong sir.
MoA is calling upon the public for ideas to improve the welfare, not the profitability, of Israel's egg-laying hens.
This is simply democracy in action, from the very last bastion of what used to be our Public service.
The issue may be rather minor, but you've got to admit that the underpaid MoA bureaucrats are at least pulling some work here!
Have a nice day.
