The Department of Antiquities is opening a 25 meter long tunnel that will connect the Kotel Tunnel directly with the old Ohel Yitzchak synagogue in the so-called Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem. Channel 2 was allowed to film the excavation and screened the video in its Wednesday evening newscast.
The Kotel Rabbi, Shmuel Rabinovich, said that the Ohel Yitzchak synagogue was also being renovated.
