at Jewess, in dealing with the topic I refer to as the Burkha Babes, posted a picture from the last century, or two ago, showing Orthodox women at the Western Wall basically covered up in shawls.
Okay, so here are some more:-



Shawls, yes. Headcovering, yes. Burkha-style covering up everything including face, no. It's the normal fashion for Old City Jerusalem over 110 years ago or so. In fact, you'll see this in Meah Shearim today. But it is not burkha-style nor the type of behavior Rabbanit Keren practices.
