You'll have to pardon me but trying to find your way down at ground level of the forest you'll never see where the path is really leading you unless you rise well above the trees where your view is more realistic. Moreover, and quite unwittingly, by remaining at ground level, instead of taking the "high road" of trust in the ultimate good of God and divine providence, and therefore, for example, learning some Torah as a better pastime, you end up providing more fuel, God forbid, to the enemy, to the forces that rely on such Jewish "leakage" for their very existence. (I try my best to explain this chassidic concept here: https://hezbos.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-process-of-redemption.html)

The point is -- we can stop worrying about this nitty-gritty stuff because it's akin to masturbation, pardon my language.

We are well beyond the threshold of "Moshiach Times", as defined by the Rambam, and all we really have to do is lean back with folded arms and just watch how the world is transforming into what very soon will be obvious for all to see - that we actually are quickly heading into the Era of Ultimate Redemption for Jews and the world-at-large. The Jewish people, collectively, are on the magic flying carpet. There's no more turning back to old historical narratives.

Wishing you well - kol tuv!
