§Colonel [Abraham] Lyons [from Leicester East] asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what is the total of grants or loans which have been made to the Palestine and Trans Jordan Governments from the various Colonial Development Funds since their inception to 31st December, 1944; and whether he has under consideration any schemes, over the next five years, involving expenditure under the Development and Welfare Act, 1940, for these territories in respect of social and economic progress for the benefit of all races.
