A huge first step for J Street Local!

Wow - last night's J Street Local kickoff events were amazing!

I attended the New York City event, and it was packed to the gills with over 300 new and veteran activists ready to fight for change.

J Street Local organizers told me this morning that nearly 2,000 people turned out in 21 cities to fight for a new direction on American politics when it comes to Israel and the Middle East - including over 200 in Philadelphia, Boston, and San Francisco.

That makes what we did last night the largest single showing EVER for the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement. We really did take a huge first step forward together - invigorating our local presence with new energy and strength.
