Is the Bible Historically Accurate?

There have been recent finds that have proven the Bible historically accurate. Consider the recent finds of the temple site on the Temple Mount, the finding of a Sumerian tablet that chronicles almost exactly the Biblical account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha, the discovery of a clay pot with reference to Christ (dating from the first century), the admission of many scientists that Creation is the only alternative to the unprovable myth of evolution, and various extra-biblical writings used as historical references by scientists (the writings of Josephus and Pliny the Younger, the Julio-Claudian Histories, and the Letter of Pontius Pilate to Tiberius Caesar). Also consider that this is a book that has never been conclusively disproven or universally destroyed, has shown both the good and bad of all it’s subjects (relating to important issues), and is begrudgingly admitted to have great and fundamental value on all levels of intelligent pursuit or activity. Further, consider that there are many prophecies, given in detail, which were historically fulfilled long after their recording in the Bible.

There's more.

"the admission of many scientists that Creation is the only alternative to the unprovable myth of evolution..."

oh, really? sounds nice but you won't get too far with that one in the real world. i'm sure you must be aware that the theory of evolution doesn't address the origins of life at all, and therefore is not an "alternative" to creation, and therefore these sorts of apologetics are just ridiculous. we don't need sumerian tablets to "prove" the veracity of the bible. and by "bible" i mean "old testament", unlike the writer of this foolishness. why even post it at all?

sorry, meant "origins of the universe", not life. although evolution has precious little to say on the origins of life, either.

Of course this is a defense of the CHRISTIAN bible, and not the HEBREW bible. I think that alone means that these arguments won't fly with Jews.
