"I and my family . . . "
You may say "I, together with my family,..."
but if you use the word "and", you must write:-
"My family and I . . ."
The first person does not come first !
There is a famous story about Cardinal Wolsey
in which this High Priest wrote (in Latin):-
"Ego et Rex meus" and he was ticked off (most severely) by Henry VIII who said "Your King always comes first !"
