I could only think of the Talmudic dictum (Sotah 41A):

...a Master has said: In the Temple-court the kings of the House of David alone were allowed to sit; as it is said: 'Then David the king went in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, etc.' [repeated in Yoma 25BA: אין ישיבה בעזרה אלא למלכי בית דוד בלבד = "has not a Master said: Nobody could sit in the Temple Court except the kings of the House of David. (11) II Sam. VII, 18: 'Then David the king went in and sat before the Lord.']
