No? Really? No Evidence?

The NYTimes copies an AP report that contains this:-

Abbas says there is no incitement in mosques and called for a joint Israeli-Palestinian-U.S. team to examine claims of incitement in Palestinian textbooks.   Israel has not produced evidence that incitement contributed to the killings
You don't really believe that nor that the NYTimes believes that, do you?  Nor AP which had it thus:

Abbas rejected Israel's allegations that Palestinian clerics preach incitement, saying his government hands out a uniform sermon to be delivered by all. And he called for a joint Israeli-Palestinian-U.S. team to examine claims of incitement in Palestinian textbooks.
['hands out a uniform sermon'?  no freedom of religion or expression?]

You know they do know of the incitement.  They've be sent this material by Palestine Media Watch and much more over the years.  (See new PMO powerpoint presentation on incitement, too)

Maybe they'll claim that since no suspects have been arrested, we can't interrogate them to confirm they were incited.  Would they make make that claim?

I checked Pal. sources to be sure (you can't trust the media anymore).

WAFA has this:

RAMALLAH, March 12, 2011 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas condemned in a statement on Saturday the attack on Itamar settlement near Nablus that left five Israelis from the same family dead.  Abbas “stressed his rejection and condemnation of all violence directed against civilians, regardless of who was behind it or the reason for it,” said a statement issued by his office. It said the President also stressed that “violence produces violence and what is needed is to speed up a just and comprehensive solution to the conflict.”

But that seems an earlier statement.  Besides, this statement promises "a big trouble" - would that be continued terror?
