Rhetoric is one thing, tachlis is another. I want to see the "group of 18" come up with a gameplan of how to confront the Palestinian menace. I want to see how they plan to counter the slick, effective and efficient Palestinian propaganda machine. I do NOT want to hear whining and blame about "leftists" and "the press" and "obama" and "olmert" and "sharon". Whining blamers we don't need. Are the 18 going to hire the top PR companies in the world to help change public opinion? Are the 18 going to start teaching Jewish youth how to become effective activists? Are the 18 going to demand that Moetzet Yesha become an elected body with a constitution and accountability? Or is the 18 just another loud-mouthed, well meaning but ineffective bunch of whiners who preach to their own converted community and ignore the rest of the world? One Arutz 7 is useless enough. Another one we don't need.
American born, my wife and I moved to Israel in 1970. We have lived at Shiloh together with our family since 1981. I was in the Betar youth movement in the US and UK. I have worked as a political aide to Members of Knesset and a Minister during 1981-1994, lectured at the Academy for National Studies 1977-1994, was director of Israel's Media Watch 1995-2000 and currently, I work at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. I was a guest media columnist on media affairs for The Jerusalem Post, op-ed contributor to various journals and for six years had a weekly media show on Arutz 7 radio. I serve as an unofficial spokesperson for the Jewish Communities in Judea & Samaria.
