How Fast Can You Count to 90...Seconds?

The bad news:

The Home Front Command has decided to shorten the warning time for Tel Aviv and Gush Dan residents against incoming missiles from two minutes to 90 seconds. The move comes largely due to Hezbollah and Hamas' improved missile launching capabilities.

In the past, The Israel Defense Forces were able to use sensors that would detect any incoming fire and missiles as well as the direction they were coming from.

The sensors would trigger a siren, giving Tel Aviv and Gush Dan residents a two-minute grace period to find shelter...However now, Hamas and Hezbollah can launch longer range missiles with heightened precision. They possess more missiles than ever before, concealed in buildings and underground bunkers.

Read Carefully

Read this carefully:-

CABINET COMMUNIQUE
(Communicated by the Cabinet Secretariat)

At the weekly Cabinet meeting today (Sunday), 10.1.10:

1. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the following remarks:

"Last week 20 rockets and mortar rounds were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip. I regard this very seriously. The IDF responded immediately; it attacked missile producing factories in the Gaza Strip and tunnels through which Iran smuggles missiles and rockets into the Strip. The Government's policy is clear: Any firing at our territory will be responded to strongly and immediately...

and then ask yourself:

1. If the government knows where these missile producing factories, why only now are they bombed?

2. If the government knows that tunnels are used to smuggle into the Gaza Strip missiles and rockets, why only now are they bombed?

3. Does the government know of anything else of a terror nature going on there?

4. If Bibi and Barak both knew the above, why are they still Prime Minister and Defense Minister respectively?

I Hope This Is True

The federal agency overseeing Russia's military exports on Friday denied reports that the country is planning to deliver a powerful new anti-aircraft missile system to Iran.

Iran's defense minister had said earlier this week that Russia was preparing to equip Iran with the S-300 missile system, which would dramatically increase the country's ability to repel an attack.

But Russia's Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service denied the claim in a brief statement.

"The question of deliveries of S-300 systems to Iran, which has now arisen in the mass media, is not currently taking place, is not being considered and is not being discussed at this time with the Iranian side," said the agency, known by its Russian initials, FSVTS.

I'd hate for Israel to have to go to war with Russia, too.
