Will Israel agree to another construction freeze as the Pals. demand?

A senior Palestinian official said...Israel must freeze settlements and accept the West Bank’s pre-1967 boundaries before talks can resume, said Nabil Shaath, a senior adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Or will Israel agree only if the Pals. freeze their construction?

More dwellings expected built in Palestinian areas this year than in all of Israel in 2010

There is a Palestinian building boom going on in the West Bank that has increased the number of dwellings in the past four years by over 25%, according to the latest figures released by the Palestinian Authority (PA) on Sunday.

The number of housing units in the West Bank and Gaza Strip is expected to reach a total of 884,385 in 2011, an increase of about 26% compared with 2007, according to projections by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), which released the statistics to mark Arab Housing Day, which the League of Arab States marks on the first Monday of every October.

In the past year alone, the Palestinians completed 33,822 dwelling units, according to the PCBS. By comparison, Israel completed 33,128 units in 2010, according to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics.

No Bilateralism. No Peace

...the Palestinian misinterpretation of a clause in the 1995 agreement between Israel and the PLO in which they agreed that "neither side shall initiate or take any step that will change the status of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip pending the outcome of the permanent status negotiations."

The clause was never intended to refer to construction, and "neither side," of course, relates to both Israel and the Palestinians.

But since the agreement was signed, while the Palestinian misinterpretation has been widely adopted, only one side has been held to account...

...A "peace" based on the nullification of Jewish rights is nothing more than a recipe for more war.

No, It's not a Jewish illegal settlement expansion on the "West Bank".

Condi, Tony, et al., you can take it easy.

That's Arab construction, just outside of Jerusalem off of Route 443. And as far as I can tell, empty. It's there just to grab land.
