One could think that one 'Palestine' in more than enough.
A new book has been published.
Written by scholar Walter D.Ward, it is not at all political but a study on the economics of a region. It "provides a comprehensive examination of the evidence for the economy of the later Roman province of Third Palestine, which roughly corresponds to southern Jordan, the Negev desert in Israel, and the Sinai Peninsula."
Where was that province?
In other words, there were two other "Palestines", all three really weren't one country and it was all Roman.
Some geography from the book:
As is well-known:
"in 132 CE in the period of the Bar Kokhba revolt the province [of Judea] was expanded and renamed Syria Palaestina. In 390, during the Byzantine period, the region was split into the provinces of Palaestina Prima, Palaestina Secunda, and Palaestina Tertia. Following the Muslim conquest of the Levant in the 630s, the military district of Jund Filastin was established."
Filastin is not an Arabic term but the transliteration from the Latin, just a Nablus is actually Nea Polis. Palestine is not Arab not original.
__________
The Arabs referred to as "Palestinians" claim descent from the Phoenicians.
But there's a catch:
"The Phoenicians...crisscrossed the sea connecting a vast geographic area...with an extensive network of settlements...and settled as immigrants"
Settlements?

Oh, just 'ask' the "Palestine" butchers if they were "abused"
ReplyDeleteAfter months, anti-Israel groups being frustrated ftom Arab Palestine atrocities like the Oct 7...
The 'revenge' srarted to pile on. Because if there are no facts. Search and "find" / create.
They decided to "ask" terrorists if maybe they were mistreated.
Just ask away...
Sure, why would any one of them lie?
One of the radical Anti-Israel groups masked as "human rights" is of course B’Tselem. In the late 1990s its Arab Palestinian Bassem Eid resigned as he saw it being focused only on Israel.
Which shows its agenda.
On Aug 14, 2024, Amanpour (who tried but failed to dramatize it even more) asks Yuli Novak, after she gave her speech:
How did you receive the "reports?"
Novak:
B'Tselem is an Israeli organization, and we have Jews and Palestinians and the Palestinians heard "testimonies".
Wow, really convincing evidence.
By the way, at this very language of "Jews and Palestinians" - there is a hint of false propaganda.
Because it's either 'Jews and Arabs' / 'Jews and Muslims' or 'Israelis and Palestinians.'
The intention of the false propaganda is to imply that the "Palestinians" are supposedly a separate people from the Arab people.

There are basically these types of fantasy theories (bigotry related) peddlers.
ReplyDelete1. The ignorant and the gullible. In the minority.
2. Malicious, who mostly don't believe in what they propagate but would like others to believe it. Because they hate.
3. The same as #2 but have been convincing themselves to believe in what they did not, overtime. At least much of it.
(Goebbels did not believe that the [infamous forgery] Protocols were true. When he told Hitler --who told him to use it-- that it's fiction, Hitler said, yes, it's fake but also true)

CNN's Soares: "Do you expect martyrdom operations?"
ReplyDelete8.28.24
On CNN, Iss Soares interviews Khaled Elgindy of the Middle East Institute.
First, she avoided mentioning all the attacks by Arab Palestinians in these months. Even before the hammer attack 10 days earlier in Kedumim. Including foiled attacks, failed massacres.
Here is what was publicized on Aug 1:
Judea and Samaria saw more than 500 Palestinian terrorist attacks each month on average in the first half of 2024, according to figures Rescuers Without Borders (Hatzalah Judea and Samaria). In the first six months of this year, first responders recorded 3,272 acts of terrorism in the region, including 1,868 cases of rock-throwing, 456 attacks with Molotov cocktails, 299 explosive charges and 109 shootings. Palestinian terrorists have killed 14 people and wounded more than 155 others in Judea and Samaria since the start of the year, the group said.
Soares: "Do you expect martyrdom operations?"
Elgindy: "Do you mean suicide operations?"
Regarding that Israel condemns radical (vigilante among the) Settlers who commit violence (usually in response to Arab attacks) calling it terrorism, Elgindy lied that the army is (at times) aiding them settlers. In fact, radical settlement are dealt harshly and more severe than Arab prisoners are.
Elgindy also charged that Israel didn't provide "evidence" of Iran building an infrastructure there. Does he want collaborators to be lynched by their brethren there?
Besides, Iran itself is bragging of its weapons provisions there.
