On Elena Kagan, nominated to the Supreme Court, a former congregant at Lincoln Center Synagogue:

"...I don’t think I satisfied her completely,” said Rabbi Riskin, "But she certainly raised my consciousness."

He was referring to her Bat Mitzvah ceremony.
