Where is Our Determination? (PSI Statement)

Statement of the Professors for a Strong Israel (PSI):-

We need determination, not vacillation

Statement to the Press

Ehud Olmert speaks with determination for the microphone, but vacillates in the face of the enemy.

There is no way to fight a war against this determined enemy without naming it a war;
without giving the IDF the necessary freedom of action;

without carrying the war to the areas from which the missiles are coming (rather than sticking to the narrow border zone);

without giving the home front the resources it needs to function.


* The war is being fought at a pace that can only be seen as waiting for an imposed cease-fire, which means a victory for Hezbollah.

* PSI reminds Olmert that the purpose of this war is the defeat of the true enemy, not the furthering of the "convergence" plan.

* If he can't run the war with seriousness and resolve, he should go home and let others carry on.
