Something is wrong with this story.
Why would two men be suspected of vice violations with a 75-year old woman?
Or
Why would two men want to have vice with a 75-year old woman?
Or
Why did one man need to be escorted by another in order to deliver bread?
Or
Will Ms. Sawadi be able to survive 40 lashes?
Or

The Saudi religious police is to begin with a rather unsavory institution I can imagine. Totally capable of performing this type of BS.
But this news item might also be a PR stunt or part of some agenda by someone someplace, wherever, whatever :/

ReplyDeleteWhat I can read from it is that the practices of Malkot Mardut and Yichud (thanks, wikipedia), known within radical jewishm (in some place/age) are reflected in radical islamism (in some place/age).
Small wonder.
I would not be surprised it there can be found a Christian practice refereed to somewhere in Christian text at some time.
They are after all the three sisters; Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
