All I have here are archaeological finds, not a geo-political analysis.<br /><br />IN any case, two points:<br /><br />a) a Palestinian nationality was created only in July 1925 by the British Mandate, and for the Jews although all residents could of course become citines of this nationality, which they did.<br /><br />b) until fairly late in the Mandate period, the official local Arab demand was to be reunified with Syria as Palestine was thought be Southern Syria.
