In response to:

"They believe in an "end of the world" which would result in a greater amount of happiness."

Yes, greater amount of happiness who follow same way of thinking, that is ironic fact. All of those thought systems from before Christ and beyound Communism often sell the idea that it's their way or the hellish highway.Thornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7014209.post-19229865036134363772013-09-19T06:22:48.256+03:002013-09-19T06:22:48.256+03:00dear Thor,
I'm not a Notzri, but I am pragmat...dear Thor,

I'm not a Notzri, but I am pragmatic skeptic.

I will allow you to apply any criteria you want, when commenting upon the alleged life of Jesus..... all I demand is that you apply the IDENTICAL level of skepticism to "Torah Judaism", or to Hinduism, or to Progressive Liberal Feminism, or whatever happens to be YOUR own philosphical framework.

One does not need to be a notzri-sympathizer (and I am not) to understand that their phrase, "end of the world", does not refer to any increase of unhappiness in the world. They believe in an "end of the world" which would result in a greater amount of happiness. I can't explain that in a clear way, but I also can't explain the various time/space/simultaneity paradoxes of Quantum Theory in a clear way. Does that mean that Quantum Theory ==must be == wrong?

By the way..... how many hours have YOU spent doing farm labor in Judea or Samaria?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7014209.post-53539324211442257522013-09-19T05:57:18.106+03:002013-09-19T05:57:18.106+03:00" Christians have classically believed in sup..." Christians have classically believed in supersessionism, maintaining that they have replaced the Jews and that the Torah and its commandments are no longer binding."

Well, me for one seriously doubts that Jesus son of Joseph ever excisted, I'm rather inclined to believeing Jesus Christ is a superimposition made up of many mythological persons of the region over several hundred years if not thousands. There is no historical evicence that the dude ever excisted, three roman historians mention the anointed one but that can mean just about every one, the fourth historical person has been prooven to be historical fake.

I find it strange when evangelicals support Israel based on their belief because their belief is that after Israel has been reinstated (as it has today) end of the world will follow shortly. Great joy eh?Thor Fjalar Hallgrimssonnoreply@blogger.com
